We are a group of young filmmakers dedicated to make the world a better place. Jonathan Kloberdanz started Good Karma Films after spending three years documenting the Syrian refugee crisis across Europe for an independent film company in San Francisco. Jonathan has 15 years experience as a cinematographer and editor and has contributed to numerous award winning documentary feature films. His work has been broadcast on television news channels such as CNN, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, VICE and BBC. Jonathan has independently produced hundreds of short-form educational films and five feature length documentaries. Jonathan has 6 years previous experience as a journalist based in Colorado doing aerial reconnaissance from small aircrafts. There he covered stories related to oil, gas, mining and wildlife preservation across the Western United States, which has given him a birds eye view of many global threats to peace and sustainability on the planet. Internationally, Jonathan has extensive experience working on films in remote locations and excels at connecting with crew and characters across cultures. Good Karma Films has operations based in the San Francisco Bay, Colorado and New York. Our crew consists of digital nomads who are often on assignment in locations on the frontlines of human crisis, on the cutting edge of innovation and the creation of music and visual arts. We are an adventurous group of young filmmakers and active participants in our global communities. We value Nature and believe in the good heartedness of humanity. Our films emphasize topics such as artist biographies, music, education, architecture, energy, climate change, spirituality, and social justice. We are passionate about storytelling and using new tools of the trade including virtual reality, 360 degree cameras, smart phone filmmaking, 4K, 5K, High Definition and time-lapse photography.
